Margaux Watine Appointed Vice President, Development
January 9, 2025 – The Montreal General Hospital Foundation (MGHF) proudly announces the appointment of Margaux Watine to the role of Vice President, Development.
Ms. Watine joined the MGHF in 2022 in the position of Senior Director, Major Gifts, and since, her professionalism and dedication have been integral to our Foundation. She has built meaningful relationships with our generous donors and medical leaders while playing a pivotal role in many of our fundraising campaigns, including a major tribute evening to Dr. David S. Mulder in 2023.
Before joining the Foundation, Ms. Watine worked extensively in healthcare philanthropy, notably at the Montreal Cardiology Institute Foundation and the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation.
An inspiring leader, she is also in the process of completing her EMBA.
She steps into the role previously held by Alexander King, who spent six years at the Foundation and has decided to move on to another professional challenge. “We are incredibly grateful to Mr. King for his leadership, vision, and hard work,” says Stephanie Riddell, President & CEO of the Montreal General Hospital Foundation. “During his tenure, Mr. King worked closely on transformative initiatives led by medical leaders that helped redefine our Foundation’s mission.” Such groundbreaking projects include our Impact Investment Program and our Together Against Cancer campaign, a special collaboration with the Cedars Cancer Foundation.
