Together, We Raised Over $180,000 for Mental Health at the Pharmaprix Run for Women!
On June 7, over 1800 participants gathered at Parc Maisonneuve for the 10th annual Pharmaprix Run for Women, in support of mental health services at the MUHC. The weather did not dampen anyone’s spirits, and the day was a success! We are proud to announce that together, we raised over $180,000 for this important cause.
“The Pharmaprix Run for Women is one of my favourite events: a fun-filled morning that supports a meaningful cause. Your participation directly impacts mental health services offered by the MUHC. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this day such a success! On behalf of myself and the Foundation’s team, thank you for making a difference. Also, a big thank you to Pharmaprix for making this fundraising event possible,” said Stephanie Riddell, President & CEO, Montreal General Hospital Foundation.
Initiatives Supported by You
As it has for the last 10 years, the Pharmaprix Run for Women supports mental health programs at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC). This year’s run in particular supports two important initiatives of the MUHC Mental Health Mission:
- Group therapy research for sexual minorities at the McGill University Sexual Identity Centre (MUSIC)
- Yoga classes for patients in the Transitional Day program, as well as in the Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders and Addiction Psychiatry programs
For every registration to the race, the MGH Foundation received $10 towards this cause. In addition, participants are encouraged to fundraise. We are excited to congratulate the most successful fundraisers for the event:
- The MUHC Department of Psychiatry/Mental Health Mission ($5,031)
- Difuze ($3,615)
- Jarislowsky Fraser ($2,705)
It’s not too late to donate to the cause and help us collectively reach our goal of $200,000 for the MUHC Mental Health Mission.
Thank you to everyone who participated whether onsite or virtually! Together, we’re transforming healthcare!
